Homer E. Howard was born on September 26, 1934 to Galen and Lola Howard in Magoffin County, KY, and passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at his home in Maineville. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Ruth Howard; two daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Richardson of Maineville and Tonya (Dave) Gehringer of Clarksville; five grandsons, John Gehringer, Luke Gehringer, Evan Richardson, Joshua Richardson, Brendan Richardson; one brother, James Wendell (Sandra) Howard of Lebanon; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Edgar Paul Howard, Bruce Wade Howard, Roy Howard, Rena Delores Holbrook, Virginia Bernice Dyer, and Jessie Marie Howard.

Homer was a veteran of the US Navy and a retiree of Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on TV (especially University of Kentucky basketball), bowling, playing horseshoes, grocery coupon clipping, and spending time with family and friends. Most important to him was his relationship with Jesus Christ who he met when he was in his thirties and never looked back. He served as a deacon and adult Sunday School teacher for over 40 years at Grace Baptist Church in Loveland and First Baptist Church of South Lebanon. Homer loved the Lord, was devoted to his family, and was a good friend to many. He will be missed very much.

Visitation, Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. with a service immediately following at the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon, 505 W. Mason Rd., South Lebanon, OH. Interment will follow on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Maineville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church of South Lebanon.
