LEDFORD, Hershel, 79, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at his home in Mason. Born on August 31, 1941 to Fred and Naoma (nee: Allen) Ledford in Oneida, KY. After 30 years of teaching. Hershel retired from Mason City Schools. Hershel was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Shriners. Hershel loved to go back to his roots. He would love to spend time with his family going back to Clay County, KY where they would ride 4 wheelers and enjoy the time with each other. He loved bluegrass music and looked forward to going to any bluegrass festival he could locate.

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nancy Jane (nee: Hallam) Ledford, he is survived by his three sons, Gregory (Sharon) Ledford of Waynesville, Michael (Rhonda) Ledford of Morrow, Rodney (Christine) Ledford of Mason, one daughter, Pamela Wesley of Mason, Daniel Herrera of Chile, one brother, Melvin (Regenia) Ledford, two sisters, Iola (Carl) Mosbacher and Beulah (Ellis) Bishop, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation, Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM with a Masonic service at 7:45 PM at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM also at the funeral home and interment will follow in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon.
