Herbert William Cole, 72, of Morrow, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Born on October 26, 1953 to Earnest and Bessie (nee: Schaefer) Cole in Cincinnati, OH. Herb was an Air Force Veteran and had a deep love for animals. He found great joy in caring for them, especially the horses at Red Gate Farm, where he cherished the time he spent tending to them. An avid motorcyclist, he loved the freedom of the open road. Herb also enjoyed tinkering with just about anything, always finding satisfaction in fixing or creating something with his hands. Music was a constant source of happiness in his life, and some of his most treasured moments were spent fishing with his grandchildren, making memories that will be cherished for years to come. He was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), where he valued the friendships and camaraderie he found through his fellow members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet (nee: Adams) Cole and one brother, Roger Cole. Survived by his two sons, Jake (Tarah) Cole of Middletown and Eric (Rachael) Cole of Raleigh, NC, three brothers, Earnest Lee Cole, Jr., Clarence Cole and Greg Cole, two sisters, Earna Mozena and Connie Cole, grandchildren, Jacob Jr., Brody, Clifton, Lillian, Vivian, his beloved dog, Ginger, and his dear friend, Larry Smith.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home with military honors at 2:30 PM.
