Obituary

Gerald J. Landis, 74, of Morrow, passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2020 at his residence. Beloved husband of 54 years to Janice M. (nee: Cook) Landis. Loving father of Shari Landis, Denny (Kim) Landis, Scott (Lisa) Landis, Denise Landis Hamilton, and Dave (Tina) Landis. Caring grandfather of Jon (Andrea) McDonough, Terri (Justin) Mitchell, Deric (Ally) Hutton, Alyssa (Tyler) Haggard, Will Hamilton, Owen Hamilton, Brittany (Dylan) Creager, Jordan Landis, Logan Landis, Amanda Davis, Dylan (Kylee) Landis, Alex Landis, Samantha, Abby, and Daniel Landis. Great grandkids, Layla and Addy Haggard, Scarlett Hutton, Myla Mae Creager, and Little Michael. Son of the late, Hazel Hughes and nephew of the late Harold Lewis.

Gerald, known as Jerry, worked for Globe Union in Florence, KY for 42 years. He was always involved in his children's activities. He was the coach of the Maineville Monsters for 12 years. He loved going on the Little Miami  River on the raft with his kids.

We loved all of our family vacations. One year, in Oak Island NC, we were all in the vacation house having a great time and we heard someone knocking on the door somewhere, but we couldn't figure out where. Well, we found out the neighbors saw him on the balcony and the asked him "Do you want us to tell them you are out here?" He said 'No. They will figure it out." Later, mom was ready to go to bed and she was like, 'Where is he at"?" About then, she heard peck peck peck on the window and he was still on the balcony.

We have a lot of stories… too many to tell. He also loved playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be always in our thoughts and hearts.
