Oxenham, George Arthur, 81, of Morrow passed away on
Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Hospice of Cincinnati. Born May 3,
1942 in Coldwater, MI to Arthur George and Mary Ellen (nee:
Rossiter) Oxenham. Mr. Oxenham graduated from Tri State
College in Angola, Indiana in 1963 with a degree in Aeronautical
Engineering. He worked for General Electric Aircraft Engines for
more than 35 years until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Oxenham
remained active with General Electric for several years after his
retirement, continuing to work part time and often meeting for
lunches with some of his fellow GE retirees. Mr. Oxenham grew
up on a farm near Quincy, Michigan, and enjoyed working
outside and tending to his tractors. He was also an avid
woodworker, regularly producing toys for his grandkids, and an
annual Christmas ornament for the family.
Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom
Oxenham, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice (nee:
Walker) Oxenham, his two sons, Jeff Oxenham of Cincinnati, OH
and Greg (Jeanna) Oxenham of Florence, KY, his sister, Carol
Oxenham of Fremont, MI, and his grandchildren, Benjamin,
Lucas and Emma Oxenham.
Visitation, Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10 AM until 11 AM
with funeral service immediately following, all at the Vale
Hoskins Funeral Home in Morrow. Interment follows in Morrow
Cemetery. Pastor Doug Sibcy officiating. Memorial donations
are requested to the Hospice of Cincinnati.
