JOHNSON, George Joseph, 84, of Morrow, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Born in Cincinnati, OH to Carl and Margaret (nee: Althammer) Johnson, George was an engineer for GE Aviation for more than 37 years before retiring in 1994. A member of the St. Philips Apostle Catholic Church, he served as the president of the Senior's Club and was active in the Quarter Century Club at General Electric.  He also served in the Air Force Reserves.

Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sissy Engle, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Johnson of Morrow, two sons, Phil (Jennifer Casperson) Johnson of Nashville, TN and Scott (Elli) Johnson of Maineville, OH, two daughters, Susan (Doug) Hase of Springboro, OH and Melissa (Scott) LaFollette of Cincinnati, OH, two sisters, Rosie (Bernie) Murphy of Loveland, OH and Bert Johnson of Loveland, OH and three grandchildren, Zach Hase, Leon LaFollette and Cora Johnson.

In keeping with George's wishes, he donated his body to the University of Cincinnati Anatomical Donation Program. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations are requested to the Guillain Barre Syndrome Foundation at www.GBS-CIDP.org .
