George Leon
Dushensky, Iii
Nov 20, 1981 — Mar 11, 2024
George Leon Dushensky III, 42, of Lebanon, was born into eternal life on Monday, March 11, 2024. A devoted and beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, George was born on November 20, 1981, to George and Jackie (nee: Regina) Dushensky, II, in Albany, NY. George was an extraordinary individual whose brilliance shone brightly from a young age. As a child, he demonstrated his exceptional intellect by constructing his own computer before the age of 10. George's remarkable achievements transcended the realms of sports and academia in the South Colonie School District. From bowling a perfect 300 game on his 13th birthday to showcasing his prowess as an unstoppable running back for the Colonie Raiders, he left an indelible mark on the athletic landscape. His stellar performance on the football field propelled the team to championship games, where his leadership and skill shone brightly. Beyond his athletic feats, George excelled in the classroom, earning recognition as a top 10 student athlete in the area. His dedication to both academic excellence and athletic achievement exemplified his unwavering commitment to success in all endeavors. George's multifaceted talents and unparalleled drive set him apart as a true standout among his peers, leaving a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.
Graduating with high honors in 1999 from Colonie Central High School, George continued his academic journey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Armed with his intellect and determination, he ventured into the business world, where he thrived and eventually found himself in the Cincinnati area working at a Catholic non-profit. It was here where he met Michelle, his "love of a lifetime." Their beautiful bond led to the sacrament of Holy Matrimony on December 8, 2018, and they continued to make their deep Catholic faith the center of their marriage. George was involved at his church, serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
When he wasn't focused on running his business, George found solace in the green expanse of the golf course and the pulsating beats of house music. George always had a smile on his face and approached every decision with unwavering intentionality, including his decision to be an organ donor. He will be remembered for not only his remarkable achievements but also the warmth and kindness he bestowed upon everyone he encountered. George's presence will be forever and deeply missed, and his spirit will continue to inspire, uplift, and impact those whose lives he touched.
Above all else, George cherished the bonds of family and the joy of connecting with his loved ones. Whether spending quality time with his beloved wife and family in Ohio or visiting his parents, brother, and dear ones in New York, George reveled in the simple yet profound moments shared with those closest to his heart.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Flo Dushensky; his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Ida (nee: Nardolillo) Regina; his aunt and godmother, Joann King (nee: Regina); and his uncle, Michael Bruce.
