WADE, Gary Lee, 84, of Lebanon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Hospice of Butler and Warren County. Born April 19, 1942, in Middletown, OH to Wilbur and Julia (nee: Baker) Wade. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Jerry and Charles Wade, and his sister, Norma Johnson. Gary is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diana (nee: Bowman) Wade, his son, Anthony (Jennifer) Wade and his grandchildren, Anniston Wade and Avery Wade.

Gary was a 1960 graduate of Miamisburg High School and worked for decades in sales, largely in fundraising, where he helped countless schools, groups, and non-profits meet their needs. He worked 22 years for Great American Opportunities out of Nashville, TN as a sales rep in this capacity, retiring in 2002.

Gary was a founding member and elder at Faith Building Church in Lebanon. It was truly his passion to see others come into a life-changing relationship with Jesus. If he were with us today, he would certainly ask you right here, “where do you go to church, and have you met my best friend, Jesus?”

He loved to be outside and play in the sun. He taught his son, grandkids, and anyone else who would listen how to shoot a jump shot from the baseline, read a putt, or do a backflip into the pool. He was truly the life of most every party, never missing an opportunity to make someone else’s day a little better and brighter.

He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 AM until 12 PM with funeral service immediately following at Faith Building Church located at 875 Covenant Way, Lebanon, OH 45036.
