Gail Judkins
Norris
Aug 17, 1937 — Sep 28, 2023
Gail Norris from Lebanon, OH who was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, left this world on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the age of 86. She was the heart and soul of her family, survived by her loving sister Sandy Perry (Don), three children, Brad (Kelli), Jeffery (Cherylee), and Sylvia, along with a legacy of six grandchildren-Jeremy, Logan, Whitney, Luke, Kelsey, Madison and eight great-grandchildren— Hunter, Braylee, Kinslee, Emery, Preslee, Evie, Jude and Carter, who is eagerly anticipated in mother's belly. It is important to acknowledge that Gail shared more than 25 years of her life with Michael H. Norris, her ex-husband, who is still with us. Though their paths diverged, in her final years, they rediscovered a meaningful friendship —a true testament to the enduring resilience of their bond.
Gail's life was a masterpiece of generosity, as she will be remembered as one of the most giving souls to have graced this planet. A talented painter, interior designer, avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a skilled and highly competitive card player. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often indulging in her love for Lifetime and Hallmark movies. Yet, above all else, her greatest passion was reserved for her family. Gail's love knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with those she held dear. Gail never missed a single opportunity to celebrate the milestones of any of her children, attending all sporting events, cattle shows, recitals, and any moment that brought joy to their lives. She was always present and lived life in the moment as a mom, grandma, and great-grandmother(GG). In her last years, Gail found her greatest joys in the laughter and playfulness of her great-grandchildren. She reveled in their company, playing games, watching cartoons, making noodles, witnessing their joy as they adorned themselves in her wardrobe with infectious enthusiasm.
Kindness was the hallmark of Gail's character. Whether it was a gentle gesture or a fierce fight, she approached life with a soft heart and a tenacious spirit. Gail's competitive edge shone brightly in her spirited card games or anytime she faced a challenge. She faced her battles courageously, proving that kindness and strength can coexist. Gail's legacy is woven with threads of compassion that will forever be felt in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Gail also had a flair for fashion, always dressing to the nines with a style that reflected her vibrant personality. Her impeccable taste and attention to detail were a testament to her grace and elegance, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of witnessing her radiant presence.
As she takes her place among the angels, Gail is reunited with her father, Ralph J. Stolle, her mother Dorothy J. Stolle, and her beloved sister, Mary Jo Cropper. The heavens have gained a soul as sweet as the melodies she now dances to. Gail Norris will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love, kindness, and grace she shared with the world.
A Private Burial and service will be held to honor Gail's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to The Mary Jo Cropper Breast Center in Gail's name.
