GODBEY, Ernest Lee, age 94 of Lebanon, died Sunday, March 27, 2022. Born to Vernon and Sadie (nee; Lanham) Godbey on June 10, 1927 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Ernest served United States Marine Corps during WWII with the China Occupational Forces. He was an active member of the Cincinnati Primitive Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed woodworking and the company of family and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife, Belle O. (nee Taylor) Godbey in 2017, his parents, Vernon and Sadie Godbey and his sister, Nora Marie Sturgeon.

Ernest is survived by his son, Thomas Lee (Mary) Godbey of Atlanta, GA and his daughter Judith (Nick) Sargent of Lebanon, OH, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 10 AM to 11 AM, with a funeral service beginning at 11AM, all at the Otterbein Chapel. Interment will follow in Otterbein Cemetery. Arrangements made by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
