Elizabeth Wendell
Bergeron
Nov 6, 1952 — Jul 12, 2023
BERGERON, Elizabeth Wendell (nee: Keefe), 70, of Lebanon, Ohio, peacefully left this life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, in the comfort of her home. She entered eternal glory according to her heart's desire, gently drifting into a peaceful sleep from which she never awoke. Her homecoming was a serene embrace from her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born on November 6, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, to Charles and Jeanne Keefe (nee: Butman). Elizabeth, known affectionately as Liz, touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Liz was a devoted wife to her husband of 48 years, Lawrence Bergeron. Preceded in death by their son, Matthew Bergeron, and her parents, she is survived by her son, Nathan Bergeron of San Diego, CA; daughters, Nicole (Brian) Meadows of Stonington, CT, Melissa (Nate) Guy of Waynesville, OH, Aimee (Brett) Beatty of Lebanon, OH, Rebecca (Joseph) Arascunaga of Monroe, OH, Nadya Bergeron Boyer of Lebanon, OH, and Emma Bergeron of Lebanon, OH. Her legacy of love continues through her 14 cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Lucy Bergeron; her brother, Todd Keefe of Palm Bay, Florida; her sisters, Victoria J. Pierce of Florence, KY, and Tammy Keefe-Kellerman of Boca Raton, FL.
Liz's warm presence and enduring support will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Liz enjoyed her service as a girls Sunday School teacher at Calvary Church in Trumbull, CT and on the Missions Committee, which she enjoyed immensely. After moving to Ohio in 2005, she helped establish an adoption ministry at Hope Church in Mason, OH where her husband was a staff pastor.
She was a long-time member of Urbancrest Baptist Church in Lebanon, OH and most recently attended Liberty Heights Baptist Church in Liberty Township, OH. As a woman of deep faith, Elizabeth was a co-founder of A Childs Hope Intl, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving orphaned and vulnerable children. She sacrificed greatly so that love, care, and support could be provided to countless children here and around the world.
A quiet person who preferred to be out of the spotlight, Elizabeth was a home school mom for over 30 years to many in the family. She loved decorating her home and for years savored hosting the family for the holidays. She will forever be remembered for her compassionate nature, her steadfast faith, and her deep love for her family. Elizabeth leaves a wonderful legacy of faith and love to her children and grandchildren and to countless orphaned children around the world. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will continue to bless us through the memories she left behind.
A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at Hoskins Funeral Home, 323 E. Mulberry St Lebanon, OH 45036 on July 24. Those attending may arrive at 10:00am to visit with the family. A service will follow at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Elizabeth Wendell Bergeron's name to A Child's Hope Int'l 2430 east Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240 for the care of orphans in India.
