Edgar Scarborough

Edgar C. Scarborough, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born in Cincinnati, OH on May 11, 1947 to Edgar and Mildred (nee: Dean) Scarborough, Ed graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Ed was the Regional Manager for Swifty Oil Company when he retired in 2007. Prior to this, Ed's love for horses led him to obtain his license to train and drive Harness Horses. He loved attending his grandchildren's recitals and sporting events and in his spare time enjoyed reading and watching sports especially Notre Dame.

Preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Pam Dingman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debra (nee: Bell) Scarborough, their daughter, Kelli (Jason) Sobota of Ashburn, VA and two grandchildren, Jason, Jr. and Abigail. Ed is also survived by his daughter, Kathryn and son William.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Lebanon Presbyterian Church with a service beginning at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Butler/Warren Counties. Arrangement by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home.
