HORTON, Sr., Douglas Richard, 75, of Goshen, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Otterbein in Maineville. Born on March 6, 1945 to James Edward and Leoda (nee: Richardson) Horton in Cincinnati, OH, Doug worked as a Machine Operator for Ralston-Purina. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW, Loveland Eagles and American Legion 256.  He enjoyed traveling with his family, being outdoors and hunting and fishing.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joan (nee: Bennett) Horton, one brother, James E. Horton, Jr., he is survived by his son, Douglas Richard Horton, Jr. (Kerry Moyers-Horton) of Lithonia, GA, one brother, Michael Horton, three sisters, Connie (Morris) Howard, Barbara (Gerald) Ziegler, Virginia (Keith) George, many nieces, nephews and cousins and his two cats, Obama and Bear.

Visitation, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM with a service following at 2:00 PM all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.hoskinsfh.com .
