Dorothy Louise (nee: Reece) Sherod, 99, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at her residence. Born on March 16, 1926 to Wesley and Lillie (nee: Hoskins) Reece in Port Union, OH, Dorothy retired from the Sunset Beach motel as a front desk receptionist at the age of 80. In her spare time she enjoyed cross stitching, quilting and playing cards. She loved traveling with her late husband and seeing her family together.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sherod, her son, Tom Sherod, three brothers, John, Clifford and Earl Reece and three sisters, Bess Rayburn, Ada Gillen and Hazel Sams.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Retallick, her daughter-in-law, Trina Sherod, five grandchildren, Tina (Greg) Retallick, Richard Retallick, Tom (Megan) Sherod, Tami (Shane) Sibcy and Randy (Erica) Retallick, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow, at 12:30 PM in Hickory Flat Cemetery.
