Dorothy Marie Hatfield (nee: Burgemeir), aged 94, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. Born on July 18, 1930, in Dayton, OH, to Leonard and Dora (nee: Harter) Burgemeir, Dorothy was a cherished member of her community and family.

A 1948 graduate of Lebanon High School, Dorothy was known for her love of the outdoors, where she found joy in nature and her flowers. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, where her faith was a guiding force in her life.

Preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Paul Hatfield, her brothers Carl and Bill Burgemeir, Larry Zwick, and her sister Eleanor Rich, Dorothy leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her two sons, Steve and Bruce Hatfield, her four daughters, Vicki Fisher, Carol (Mike Crail) Anderson, Beverly (Doug) Kincaid, and Denise (John) Sibcy, her sister Frances Propps, her brother-in-law Tom Rich, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 330 Lebanon St, Monroe, OH 45050. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery, with Father Ben Mersch presiding.
