Obituary

THOMPSON, Dolly M. "Dottie", 77, of South Lebanon, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 11, 2021 in the home of her daughter and with those whom she loved. Born December 9, 1943 in Casey County, KY to Chester and Christine (nee: Wesley) Thompson. A Kentucky girl at heart who ran the fields and ridges with her beloved siblings and cousins.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, and little brother Eddy Thompson. Dolly is survived by the ones she poured her life into, her treasured daughters, Ronda (Tim) Bryd and Rebecca (Kendall) Riggs, both of Lebanon, Ohio. "Mimi" to four grandchildren, Holly (Scott) Browning, Hannah (Josh) Ertel, Austin (Shelbie) Riggs, and Rylee Riggs and her most doted on great-grandchildren, Easton and Oakley Ertel, Bennett Browning, Aspen Essig and Kaid Riggs. Also survived by her beloved big sister, Josephine (Jim) Breezley of Blanchester, Ohio and a host of most dear nieces and nephews.

Dolly was a resident of Union Village retirement community and South Lebanon, OH. She would often be found on the front porch enjoying the company of the many she called her friends. In life, she was a follower of Jesus Christ and was long time member of Loveland Church of Christ in Loveland, Ohio. She was fiercely proud she was able to see both daughters and all four grandchildren give their life to Christ.

Dolly lived her life devoted to the ones she loved. She was a tremendous combination of beauty, personality, and warmth in a tiny package. Those she touched in life are an amazing testimony to the love and sacrifice poured into each heart. Her greatest accomplishments (in her words) are those that called her Mom and Mimi.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 6-8 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon. A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 11 AM at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Blue Ash, OH.
