Diana Lynn
Taylor
Oct 6, 1952 — Mar 14, 2026
Diana Lynn Taylor, age 73, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with kidney failure. She was born on October 6, 1952, and lived a life defined by deep faith, resilience, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.
Diana's life was a powerful testimony of perseverance and gratitude. After receiving a life-saving liver transplant in 1993 due to autoimmune hepatitis, she chose to turn her second chance at life into a calling to serve others. With determination and faith guiding her, she pursued nursing and proudly graduated from nursing school alongside her daughter, Catherine M. Taylor. That milestone represented not only an academic achievement but also a shared calling between mother and daughter to dedicate their lives to caring for others.
Diana went on to devote her nursing career to serving patients struggling with mental illness at Summit Behavioral Center. She approached every person she cared for with patience, dignity, and compassion, believing deeply that every life mattered and every person deserved kindness. Though kidney complications eventually forced her into early retirement, the heart that made her such a compassionate nurse never faded.
At the center of Diana's life was her love for the Lord. Her faith carried her through decades of health challenges, and those closest to her saw how deeply she trusted God through every trial and blessing. She lived with a quiet strength that reflected her belief that God's grace is present even in life's hardest moments.
Standing beside Diana through every chapter of her journey was her devoted husband of 56 years, Ralph G. Taylor I. Their marriage was built on loyalty, faith, and unwavering commitment. Through her many medical battles, Ralph remained her fearless and faithful caregiver, offering constant strength, comfort, and love. His dedication reflected a profound example of what true partnership and lifelong devotion look like. Together they faced life's challenges hand in hand, demonstrating a love that endured through both joy and hardship.
Outside of her professional life, Diana found her greatest joy in her family. She was especially grateful to have the blessing of watching her grandchildren grow and thrive. Jace Taylor, Jadon Taylor, Olivia Jerauld, Zyrue Taylor, and Julius Taylor were the light of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Diana was also known for her generous spirit. She loved shopping, often searching for the perfect gift to brighten someone else's day. Giving to others brought her genuine happiness, and she delighted in seeing the joy it created.
One of Diana's lifelong passions was the classic film The Wizard of Oz. Over the years she built a cherished collection of memorabilia from the beloved story. Much like the film itself, Diana appreciated the themes of courage, heart, and the power of love—qualities she embodied throughout her life.
Diana is survived by her loving husband, Ralph G. Taylor I; her daughter, Catherine M. Taylor; and her son, Ralph G. Taylor II, along with his wife, Norah Taylor. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jace Taylor, Jadon Taylor, Olivia Jerauld, Zyrue Taylor, and Julius Taylor, each of whom brought great joy and meaning to her life.
Her family finds comfort in the promise of Scripture: "Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23
Diana will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, compassionate nurse, and faithful servant of God. Her life reflected quiet courage, generosity of heart, and unwavering faith.
Though her earthly journey has ended, her family finds peace in knowing she is now healed, restored, and home with the Lord she loved so deeply.
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every act of kindness she gave, and in the family she loved so fiercely—a reminder that a life lived with faith, love, and generosity leaves a light that never fades.
