Dennis Owen "Chief" Sanders, aged 71, of Morrow, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, January 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 15, 1953, in Covington Kentucky to Raymond and Lorrain Sanders (nee Ortlieb), Dennis was a man who cherished the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and traveling to various destinations.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Peggy (Esley) Heizer, Karen, Denise, and Donald Sanders, and his beloved daughter Heather Sanders. Dennis leaves behind his devoted wife of 35 years, Jean Cupp Sanders, and his cherished daughters Kerren (Andy) Marcelo and Carrie Sanders (Brian). He is also survived by his brother Richard (Connie) Sanders, sisters Linda (Mike) Goodpastor and Jodie Andrews, and his treasured grandchildren Malea, Evan, Ezlin, and Alexis Marcelo, John Bellar, and Kayla Sallee.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a service at 1:00 pm, all taking place at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home in Morrow. Dennis will be remembered for his love of nature and the adventures he embarked upon throughout his life.
