Obituary

David Michael Randall, 71, of Blanchester, OH, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, September 16, 2023.  Born on November 29, 1951 to Russell E and Joyce Marie (Young) Randall in Troy, OH.  David spent 50 years married to his wonderful wife Rhonda and has seven children. Dave retired from a career as a trade Printer in 2018, having worked in the field for multiple companies over his years in the workforce. Dave had a deep faithful love for the Lord & was a member of various churches, most recently Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington. David was a man who could play a banjo, build a house and enjoy the works of Tolstoy unironically. He loved being outside in nature, camping and fishing, and sitting around a campfire with friends and family. He was a man who had a deep appreciation for slapstick comedy and lowbrow humor and was himself a master in each discipline. His ability to appreciate and at the same time be the unintended source of such humor will be missed.

Preceded in death by his mother Joyce, he is survived by his 97-year-old father Russell, his wife Rhonda (Hassler) Randall, five sons: Adam Paul Randall (Heather), Royce David Randall (Taryn), Benjamin Russell Randall (Hannah), Alexander Lee Randall (Cristina), and Paul Hassler Randall (Robin). He is also survived by two daughters: Myla Rae Steiger (Benjamin), and Morgan Joy Floyd (Nelson IV), as well as his sister, Joanne Mott (Garry), and seventeen grandchildren: Noah Randall, Collin Randall, Jack Randall, Luke Randall, Blake Steiger (Paige), Bailey Steiger, Mallory Steiger, Heath Steiger, Hazel Floyd, Simon Floyd, Sullivan Randall, Wesley Randall, Theodore Randall, Lewis Randall, Gilbert Randall, Vivian Randall and Rosalie Randall, and many nephews and nieces. He would have been a great-grandfather to Raven Marie Steiger the end of October.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 1920 W U.S. 22 & 3, Wilmington, OH, 45177 on Friday, September 29, 2023. Visitation from 2:00-4:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM.
