Phelps, David Alan, 60, of Blanchester, OH passed away on Friday July 23, 2021 at his home. Born August 10, 1960 in Cincinnati Ohio to James and Lucille (nee: Hamlin) Phelps, he was a 1979 graduate of Goshen High School. David was a longtime member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon. He was a member of the Hoodlum Alley Boys and an avid car enthusiast, particularly the Chevy Nova. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James "Sonny" Phelps and three sisters, Sandy Haitz, Joy Kehrt and Katie Dunn. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Michelle (nee: Byrd) Phelps of Blanchester, his daughter, Megan (Bryan) Roberts of Blanchester, two sisters, Brenda (Rick) Burke of Batavia, OH and Karen Grossnickle of Blanchester, OH, and two grandchildren, Delilah Roberts and Harper Roberts. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon, all at the Mt Zion Baptist Church in South Lebanon. Reverend Art McFarland officiating. Interment follows in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, OH. Arrangements by the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow.
