Clara Mae (nee: Jenkins) Blanton, 83, of Morrow, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Hospice of Southwest Ohio. Born on February 27, 1939 to William Gobel and Ona (nee: Coffey) Jenkins in Magoffin County, KY, Clara worked as a cook for Little Miami High School for many years. Clara and her late husband, Void, enjoyed spending time in Florida and camping. She belonged to the Northern New Home Church and enjoyed going on walks and sewing.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Void Blanton, her daughter-in-law, Linda Blanton and 10 siblings, Oakley Jenkins, Marie Francis, Ova Jenkins, Raymond Jenkins, Garland Jenkins, Mason Jenkins, Woodrow Jenkins, Reva Jenkins, Earl and Burl Jenkins.

She is survived by her two sons, Ralph (Deborah) Blanton of Morrow and Matthew Blanton of Cincinnati, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation, Friday, November 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM with a service immediately following, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the Salem/Morrow Fire Department.
