DEMPSEY, Carolyn May (nee: Young), 91, of Cincinnati and formerly of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Maple Knoll Village in Cincinnati. Born September 11, 1931 in Blanchester, OH to James Blair and Marcella Elizabeth (nee: Hahn) Young, she was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon High School. Carolyn worked at Princeton City School District for more than 20 years before retiring in 1987. Carolyn was always very welcoming to neighbors and friends. She and her husband, William were avid RV travelers and enjoyed many trips together.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Edwin Dempsey and a brother, Michael Lynn Young.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Alan (Jeanette) Dempsey of Englewood, FL and her daughter, Jill Elizabeth (Robert) Evans of Fairfield, OH, her brother, James Arlen Young, her grandchildren, Layla Evans and Melanie Evans and her great-grandchildren, Julia Evans, Elias Augspurger and William Augspurger.

A private burial will be held at the Lebanon Cemetery on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 1 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Hospice of Cincinnati. Arrangements by the Oswald Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
