Carol Jameson, age 74, of Lebanon passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.  Carol was born on October 13, 1948, in Cincinnati to the late Walter L. and Lula M. Beltz and was a lifelong resident of Lebanon.  Carol graduated from Lebanon High School in 1966 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Miami University (Ohio) in 1969 and a Master of Education Degree with Certification through the Reading Specialist Program from Xavier University in 1974.

Carol began her teaching career at Dunlavy Elementary School in Lebanon but served much of her professional career with the Middletown City School District beginning in 1971.  She taught at multiple elementary schools throughout the district, including Garfield Elementary School, McKinley Elementary School, and Wilson Elementary School, serving primarily as a Reading Lab Teacher and later teaching First Grade.  She also served as an Academic Leader within the District and was well loved by students and staff.  Carol retired from full-time teaching in 2006 but continued with the District as a Substitute Teacher and then as a Reading Tutor at Central Academy and Highview 6th Grade Center until 2015.  Carol loved children and during her 35-year teaching career helped many children learn to read throughout the Middletown community.  She also held various part-time positions with Talbots, Curves, Primitives & More, and Ambassador's Antiques, both while teaching and into retirement years.

Carol was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in Springboro and a devout Catholic.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, playing cards, collecting antique furniture and glassware, and spending time with family and friends.  Carol was a wonderful Mother, Daughter, caregiver, and friend to many.  She was hard working, energetic, smart, and an impeccable dresser.  She will be dearly missed.

Carol is survived by her three children, Eric Scott Jameson, Katherine Leann Jameson, and Brent Andrew Jameson, and grandson, Hendrix William Jameson.  Carol is now reunited with her beloved parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, beginning at 10:00 am until her funeral service at 12:00 pm at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, 329 E Mulberry Street, Lebanon, Ohio.  Burial will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery.
