APPLEBY, Carol Jean (nee: Carmichael), 77, of Mason, OH, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 in Cincinnati, OH.  Born on March 25, 1946 to Dwight and Jewell (nee: Hackney) Carmichael in Bedford, IN.  Carol worked as a teacher for Bedford North Lawrence High, retiring in 2006 after 18 years of employment.  She attended West Mason Church of Christ where she enjoyed Bible study.  Carol has been learning how to watercolor paint and had a passion for making cards.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jon Phillip Appleby, brother, Dwight N. Carmichael, sister. Kathryn Bowman, she is survived by son, David (Cheryl) Appleby, daughter, Carrie (Shawn) Haymaker, brother in law, Kent Hill, sisters in law, Tena Carmichael, Liz Hill, sisters, Ruby (Daniel) Robertson, Judy (Rick) Bowman, and grandchildren, Elijah Sample, Isaiah Sample, Allyssa Haymaker, Lucy Appleby, Jonathan Appleby, Nathan Appleby.

Service to be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:15 AM at West Mason Church of Christ, 6800 Tylersville Rd, Mason, OH 45040.   There will be a graveside circle of sharing and prayers at 12:30 pm at Lebanon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home.
