Carlos Wendell Swearingen, 78, of Morrow, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at his residence. Born on September 2, 1943 to Harry and Mabel (nee: Gaffin) in Cincinnati, OH, Carlos enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He became interested in growing, decorating and fabricating gourds after volunteering his time with the Ft. Ancient Earthworks and Nature Preserve. There, he helped create the Native American garden. Carlos also taught himself taxidermy as a teen, and this was a hobby he continued throughout life donating work to Ft. Ancient.

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan (nee: Miller) Swearingen, one son, James Swearingen of Morrow, his daughter, Elizabeth Swearingen, his sister, Mary Jane Kimball and his granddaughter, Grace Swearingen.
