Byron Edward Armbrister, age 77, of Lebanon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Otterbein Lebanon.
Born on March 26, 1948, in Oak Hills, Ohio, Byron was the beloved son of Andrew and Mary Armbrister. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Byron at 12 years was a part of the golf world, managed many restaurants and had daily contact with many people. No wonder as he matured, he became a great and exceptionally renowned golf pro, who was described by a Golf Pro colleague from Pinehurst Country Club, as a professional golfer that would be greatly missed. These are just some of the country clubs around the Nation Byron was the Manager and Pro of; Beckett Ridge CC Cincinnati, OH, Silver Lake CC Akron, OH, Glenmoor CC, Canton, OH, Tampa Palms CC, Tampa, FL., Monarch CC, Palm City, FL., Kingswood CC, Houston, TX, most recently Traditions CC, Hebron, KY., served ClubCorp of America (25 years Member), Professional Golfers Association (22 years). Byron taught and promoted Golf to numerous high interest Clients and everyone that was interested. He was also known for his ability to restore golf clubs to the highest standards- every club he managed was brought back to perfection. This is why he was in high-demand throughout his life. His wife Jolene for over 50 years, was also an exceptional female golfer who was well known for her golfing skills.
Byron from early in his life was a person of strong faith in God, and demonstrated integrity and honesty in everything he put his heart towards. He was a great husband and Father, and was loved by everyone who knew him. He is a person who will be greatly missed by many, and will never be forgotten.
Byron will be remembered for his dedication to his profession, his quiet strength, and his commitment to those he loved. He found great pride in his family and took special joy in the lives of his nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Jolene Armbrister (née Masters); and his son, Matthew Armbrister.
He is survived by his niece, Tammy (Jason) Borow; his nephew, Michael (Alicia) Bowman; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Dylan, Ava, and Liza Borow, and Vince, Brock, Samson, and Bella Bowman, who will carry forward his memory with love.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home in Lebanon.
