RUNYAN, Billie Irene (nee: Brown), 94, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2021 with her family at her side at Winfield of Middletown in Middletown, OH. Billie was born in Jefferson County, OH on August 15, 1927 to William and Golda (nee: Ashcraft) Brown. Billie graduated valedictorian of her senior class and won a scholarship to the Ohio State University. Billie was a member of the Ohio State University Mortar Board and also active as an alumni. She graduated with her husband, Dale in 1948 from the Ohio State University. Billie loved history and the arts and was very active in Civic Organizations through out her life. Billie taught art in Lebanon City Schools and second grade in Franklin City Schools and Groveport City Schools. She was a dedicated member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church, active in Street Tree Commission, and a member of the Lebanon Literacy Club. Billie had a love for her family, OSU, The Cincinnati Reds and was a past member of the Rosie Reds. She also loved the Bengals and her beloved OSU Buckeyes.
Billie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Golda (nee: Ashcraft) Brown, her husband, Dale Runyan, and her sister Ida Louise Brown.
She is survived by her son, Doug (Gail) Runyan, her brother, David Brown, her grandchildren, Seth (Becky) Runyan, Kevin (Lorelle) Runyan, and Justin (Lauren) Runyan. Along with her great-grandchildren, Callie, Charlie, Luke, Audra, Caleb, and Malia Runyan.
Service will be held August 15 th at 01:00PM at the Lebanon United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Ohio. This Service will be held as a Celebration of what would
Have been her 95th Birthday (Born Aug. 15 th 1927) and a Memorial of her death
(December 26 th 2021).
The Service will be officiated by Reverend Steve Cramer of the Methodist
Church and Seth Runyan. Interment following at Lebanon Cemetery. Arrangements made by, the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
