William "Bill" Douglas Haines, 70, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at his residence. Born on March 19, 1954 in Dayton, OH, Bill was a member of the Carpenter's Union. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball and attending his kids sporting events. He loved football, being around people and playing guitar.

Preceded in death by his parents, William "Red" and Mary Haines and one daughter, Amanda Haines. He is survived by his wife, Melody (nee: Radford) Haines, three sons, Jason (Andrea) Haines, Christopher Haines and Jonathan (Jennifer) Haines, his step-children, Crystal Bolin and Jeremy Bolin, one sister, Paula (Bobby) Oakley, 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  In 2001 he met his biological father Nathan Hatton (Valina Hatton) and his half- brother Gary Hatton. Over the last 10 years they have become very close.

Visitation, Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM with a funeral immediately following at 12:00 PM, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment will follow in Morrow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Special Olympics at www.specialolympics.org.
