Barbara Mary (Hillman) Groh, 93, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. She was born on September 6, 1932 in Hamilton, OH to the late Lee S. and Agnes (Harmeling) Hillman.
Her devotion and commitment to her faith helped her through the loss of her husband, George and her son, Gene, and forever reminded her family of the strength found in love and memory. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hillman and her sisters, Dorothy Hester and Martha McCardle.
Barbara took great pride in being a full time Mom and a farmer's wife, always putting her family first and embracing the hard work and joy of their rural life. She had a passion for gardening, crafting and tending to her flowers. She was also a dedicated supporter of all her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and activities.
Her legacy of love lives on through her five sons and their wives: Gary and Jane (Harrison) of Lebanon, OH; Tom and Jennifer (Weaver) of Lebanon, OH; Ron and Tamara (Faulkner) of Middletown, OH; Dan and Maria (Gay) of Hilliard, OH; and Ken and Marsha (Sonnentag) of Fort Wayne, IN.
Barbara was blessed with 18 grandchildren: Christopher, Jason, David, Ryan, Tim, Jenna, George, Jesse, Jordan, Julie, Joni, Danielle, Amanda, Kara, JD, James, Jacob, and Jonah and 15 great grandchildren; Ava, Annabeth, Hendrix, Welleslee, John, Nora, Julien, Gabriel, Archer, Calvin, Tatum, Genesis, Nava, Tanya, and Sofia.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home from 9-10:30 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, located at 15 DeSales Avenue, Lebanon, OH with Father Bernard Weldishofer presiding.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Butler and Warren County. Your kindness and support during this time mean so much to Barbara's family.
