She was married to Dr. Edwin Davis, D.V.M. for 67 years. Barb was also a Veterinarian Technician, and assisted her husband in the practice in Waynesville, and Springfield, OH for 28 years. Two children were born to them both on May 14 th . Jeffrey Lee Davis in 1954, and Cynthia Lynn Davis in 1955. Her mother and father Myrtle Corwin Lane and Charles Lynn Lane, her daughter Cynthia Lynn Davis, her brothers Gayle Lane of Chatham, IL, Charles Kenneth Lane of Lake Worth, FL, and her best friend Carolyn Dempsey of Lebanon, OH pre-deceased her. She is survived by her son Jeff, granddaughter Amber Brooke Davis, one step-granddaughter Jennifer Mollett, and her companion Edward Loring along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Cynthia became handicapped at age twelve, so Barb changed to a career in Real Estate, and after her husband went with the Government, she worked in sales in GA, MD and OH. It was only the third one like it in the country, and the research was taken to conventions, and is used today…mega-vitamins, allergies, etc. The house was furnished by the City of Springfield, and there were ten Schizophrenics as clients, and 30 outpatients. In Lebanon, she was on the board of the Warren-Clinton County Mental Health Board, and the Lebanon Conservancy for several years. She was presently a member of Unity Church of Monroe. In later years she enjoyed Red Hat Ladies, Girls and Guys Night out and hiking, camping and many concerts and movies.

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,

I'm following the path God laid for me.

I took his hand when I heard his call,

I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, to play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,

I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,

Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,

Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,

I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My Life's been full, I savored much,

Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,

Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Lift up your heart and share with me,

God wants me now, He set me free.
