FAIRCHILD, B. David, 82, of Lebanon passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born April 11, 1938 in Wellman, OH to William E. and Essie B. (nee: McClain) Fairchild, he was a 1956 graduate of Lebanon High School. A US Air National Guard serviceman, he served six years total including two years stationed in Germany. David enjoyed antiques, especially antique farm machinery and you could find him often at flea markets, buying and selling. He loved to watch the birds and loved his cat, Cleo. David retired from Armco Steel in 1991 after 33 years of service as a machinist. Preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ray and James Fairchild, and his sisters, Oralene "Nene" Smith and Betty Fornshell. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna (nee: Saylor) Fairchild of Lebanon, his daughter, Sharon Meager of Franklin, OH, his brother, Billy (Zula) Fairchild of Wilmington, OH, his two grandchildren, Christopher David Spradling and Clifton Andrew Meager and two special nieces, Deana Bayes and Becky Osborn. Visitation, Monday January 18, 2021 from 10 AM until 11 AM, with funeral service immediately following, all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment follows in Miami Cemetery in Corwin.
