NEWELL, Audrey Joyce (nee: Rudolph), 88, of Lebanon, presented to God on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her residence in Lebanon. Audrey was born on October 9, 1933 to Clifton and Agnes (nee: Miller) Rudolph in McClure, OH. Audrey graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1951. Audrey had a keen interest in the health field and was an aide at Rogers City Hospital in Rogers City, Michigan before moving to Ohio in 1975. She was also an office manager for a Cincinnati urology group. She loved spending time with her family, children, and late husband, George Lee Newell. Attending church at Resurrection Lutheran, where she was at the time of her death the church "matriarch" loved singing in the choir and attending Bible study with her dear friend Sue.
Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Agnes Rudolph, her husband, George Lee Newell,(former husband Earl W. Haynes) eldest son, Douglas Haynes, step-son, Steven Newell, brothers, Bob and Richard Rudolph, and sisters, Shirley Chamberlain and Beverly Overmier.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Haynes of West Bend, WI, her daughters, Judy Haynes of Lebanon, OH, Bonita Hurtle of Kempner, TX, and Katy Jo (Alan) South of Somerville, OH, step-daughters, Valerie (Tim) Newell-Smith of Covington, KY, Laura (Tony) Humphrey of Cincinnati, OH, Kim Newell of Allendale, MI, her brother, John Rudolph of McClure, OH, her sister Mary (Dick) Kondick of Findlay, OH, 16 grandchildren; Master Sgt. Phillip Wisniewski, Bryan Wisniewski, Rebecca Carpenter, Rachel Haynes, Nathan Haynes, Jeffie Haynes, Amanda Hildago, Johnna Grimes, Jacob South, Jeremiah South, Capt Ashley Strickland, Austin Newell, Eric Newell, Andrew Smith, Parker Smith and Dana Huls; 30 Great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild Lorelai
At the request of the family any donations or remembrances may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church in Lebanon Ohio and Queen City Hospice, Mason, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:30 AM, at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Lebanon. Inurnment immediately following in Miami Cemetery, 6379 Corwin Ave, Waynesville, OH. Arrangements made by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon.
