Obituary

Arlene Ann (Nee: Armitage) Parker, 83, of Eaton, OH, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on March 20, 1939 to Stanley and Frances Jean (nee: Coburn) Armitage in Lebanon, OH. Ann graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957 and attended the Ohio State University. Ann worked at the Ohio Department of Transportation as a secretary where she eventually would retire from. After retirement, Ann and her longtime partner, Don Carpenter moved to Florida and enjoyed many years together sailing and traveling.

Ann was very active throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling, card club, golf, and many other activities The Villages offered. She was very involved with her children and grandchildren and making her notorious brownies. Ann was loved by all and known for her kind soul.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her son, Stanley Scott "Sparky" (Donna) Parker of Loudon, TN, one daughter, Kimberlee (Jeff) Barney of Eaton, OH, longtime partner, Don Carpenter, two sisters, Jeannie (Miles) Cullom and Linda (Lawrence) Hough and three grandchildren, Kelly Ann Barney, Staci (Johnathan) Wheeler and Sheri (Ryan) Varnum.

Visitation, Monday, August 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
