SOMMER, Ann Theresa (Monnig), 90, of Lebanon, formerly of Steubenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 surrounded by family. Born on February 17, 1931 to Otto Stephen and Mary Agnes (Boll) Monnig in Pine Grove, OH, Ann graduated from Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1952.  She was a loving and devoted wife and took great joy in her family.  Ann was an active member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon.

Preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Sommer, four brothers, Joseph, Otto, Paul and Ambrose Monnig and three sisters, Clara Wilds, Mary Monnig and Sr. Regina Monnig, OSF.

She is survived by her seven daughters, Theresa (Ed) VanKirk, Mary (Dan) Averbeck, Rita (Jack) Donnelly, Joan (John) Keener, Patricia Sommer, Barbara Sommer and Loretta (Gerald) Kleist, two sons, John (Linda) Sommer and Joseph (Pam) Sommer, one brother, Ted Monnig, 18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, 329 East Mulberry St., Lebanon, 45036. Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lebanon. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.  Memorials, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
