MANSELL, Alycen Louise  (Herrick), 83, of Montgomery and formerly of Lebanon, Ohio, Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Worthington, Ohio,  passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2020 at her residence. Born November 1, 1937 in Cincinnati, OH to Edward French and Janet Louise (Apking) Herrick, she was a 1955 graduate of Lebanon High School and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, class of 1959. Alycen was a teacher and taught in a variety of settings, including for the Department of Defense in Okinawa,  Oakwood Schools, Princeton Schools, and Gahanna School Districts. She also  worked as the Volunteer Coordinator for Wesley Glen.  She volunteered extensively.  The Green Bay Symphony, Green Bay Union Congregational Church,  bLeadership Worthington, Worthington United Methodist Church, Operation Giveback and The Friends of Twin Lakes were a few of her favorite organizations throughout her life.   She never failed to find a friend in any setting and always gave her opinion on any topic.  Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. Frederick Thompson Mansell, MD.   She is survived by her son, Edward "Ted" (Melissa) Mansell of Westerville, OH, two daughters, Victoria (Peter Tarkin) Mansell of Lebanon and Katherine (Shawn) Leggett of Westerville, OH, one sister, Elaine Rainey of Turlock, CA and five grandchildren, Abigail Leggett, Colin Mansell, and Joseph, Samuel and Elizabeth Tarkin. She also leaves behind numerous friends and cousins who provided support and encouragement while also added meaning, purpose and joy to her life.  The family will have a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
