ATKINS, Sharon Kay (nee: Heinlein) of South Lebanon went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Christ Hospital with her devoted family and friends by her side. Born January 10, 1958 in Dayton, OH to Leroy and Rose (nee: Conger) Heinlein, she was a lifelong resident of South Lebanon and longtime member of the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling, and listening to old gospel music. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Janet Sue Heinlein and Patty Taylor, brother, Charles “Chuckie” Heinlein and nephews, Benjamin and Matthew Taylor. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband and soul mate of 34 years, Randall Atkins, three children, Eric (April) Atkins of South Lebanon, Janet (Erik) Lundy of Kings Mills, and Nathan (Jamie Allen) Atkins of South Lebanon, four grandchildren, Ethan, Makayla, Logan, and Bethany Atkins, Brothers, James “Pete” and Ralph Heinlein of South Lebanon, sisters, Cathy Dethorage and Gail (Joe) Traylor of Lebanon, Tina Appel and Teresa Heinlein of South Lebanon and a host of brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation, Sunday August 5, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Funeral service, Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10 AM at the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, South Lebanon. Reverends Robert Highley, Floyd Glick and Gary O’Bryant officiating. Interment follows in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon. A woman who touched the lives of everyone she met has earned her crown.
