Barbara J. Means (nee:Sorrell), 72, of Lebanon, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday July 4, 2012. Born August 28, 1939 in Middletown, OH to Kelly and Dorothy Sorrell, she was a 1958 graduate of Middletown High School. She worked for 19 years at Armco Steel and retired with 25 years from Mid First Credit Union in 2004. She was the past president of Armco Girls, member and Queen of the Beta Sigma Phi Business Sorority, master of women’s softball, and considered Team Mamaw of the Little Miami Volleyball Team for the past 4 years. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Maineville. Barb was a very kind and gentle soul but a firecracker at heart, she never met a stranger, through the many chapters of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, her brother, Victor Sorrell, and sisters, Pauline Haddix and Faye Blanton, she leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her: loving husband of 20 years, Tom Means, her devoted son and daughter, Kelly Keys and Shelly (David) Philbin, their father, Donald Keys, and four adoring grandchildren, Austin Keys, and Dillon, Ashley, and Haley Philbin. Visitation will be held, Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 1-4 PM with funeral service on, Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM, at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon. Reverend Ron Corbin officiating. Donation requested to the Community Care Hospice in Wilmington, OH.
