Dempsey Arnett, 80, a longtime resident of Maineville, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Bethesda Arrow Springs. Born in Oneida, KY on April 26, 1932 to Roosevelt & Bertha (nee: Burns) Arnett, he received his Associates Degree and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Dempsey worked for Al Polk & Company for more than 31 years and was a Kentucky Colonel. A devout Christian, he was a member of the Welcome Baptist Church in Goshen. He also was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing & traveling, and loved spending time with family & playing his banjo.
Preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Jeanett Arnett, survivors include his loving wife, Imogene, two sons, Dempsey Scott Arnett (Jody) and Timothy Irvin Arnett, one daughter, Jacqueline Chloe Angel (Jim), and five brothers, Clayton, Carl, Robert, Roosevelt Jr. and Fred Arnett. Also surviving are grandchildren: Heather McKenzie (Steve), Jessica Henry (Travis), Abigail Arnett, Brittany Allbright (Jason), Samantha Arnett, Dempsey Jordan Arnett, Timothy Hunter Arnett and Christine Hodge (Ray); great grandchildren: Stephen, Michael, Allison, Dalton, Ashley, Madison, Keaton, Haydn, Landon and Nina; and great great grandchildren: Kylie and Kaylin.
