BAILEY, Walter, 89, of Pleasant Plain, died Sunday June 3, 2012. Born September 30, 1922 in Hazard , KY to Elijah and Sally (nee: Baker) Bailey, he was a decorated US Army WWII veteran winning the Purple Heart among other metals. He was a longtime farmer in Warren County. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Esther Bailey, one son, Toby Logan, one brother, Bronson Bailey, and three sisters, Ollie Rae Bailey, Mary Lee Bailey, and Sue Bailey. Survivors include two sons, Donald Williams and Richard Logan, two daughters, Sharon Ward and Regina Cordes, six grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday June 7, 2012 from 6-8 PM with funeral service on Friday June 8, 2012 at 11 AM, all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment follows in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon.
