A Long Tradition Of Service

Hoskins Funeral Homes is comprised of two locations steeped in history & tradition.

The Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home of Morrow was established in 1932 by Alton & Esther Vale, the first of four generations to serve area families in their time of need.  Their son, James R. "Bob" Vale, and later his daughter & son-in-law, Joanne (Vale) & Jim Hoskins, continued the family tradition in funeral service.  In January 2005, Jennifer Hoskins-Long & her husband George Long purchased the business from her parents, Joanne & Jim, to continue to serve the community with the same compassion and dignity as her ancestors.

The Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home of Lebanon was established in 1860 by John Oswald who also owned and operated the Oswald Furniture Company on Broadway in Lebanon.  In 1986, Jim & Joanne (Vale) Hoskins purchased the business which is now located at the corner of Mulberry & High Streets in the downtown historic business district.  Upon retiring in January 2005, their daughter, Jennifer Hoskins-Long, along with her staff, now utilize the collective education and experience of four generations in the funeral industry to provide a service that reflects the wishes of each family, according to their faith, to help them through a difficult time.
